Second hand scooter purchase - Bulgaria or Croatia

Hi all,
My partner & I would like to purchase a second hand scooter in eastern europe somewhere (preferably Croatia or Bulgaria/Romania) next summer and travel around this way for a couple of months.
I've found a 'craigslist' type site for Croatia for buying scooters, does anyone know of a similar site in Bulgaria or Romania?

Also can anyone help with the registration details for any of these countries? My partner is an EU citizen if this helps.
Thanks

Bulgarian Interior- a hidden jewel- The Buzludza (Blowfelds Lair!)

I thought anyone travelling to Bulgaria and having the time to visit the interior might be interested in visiting the Buzludza- an ideological building now left abandoned...Its like Blowfelds lair from James Bond...a definite must see!

I shot a video of the building as we travelled from Varna towards Sofia to get a new passport...but that's a different story!

Hope it inspires people to have a look. link to youtube..

Bulgarian Bus Etiquette - Is it okay to change seats?

So far we've only taken one bus from Sofia to Veliko Tarnovo and I have a few questions.

Is it okay to change seats after our tickets have been checked? On our last bus, only the front half was full and everyone just sat quietly for the entire three hours. The whole back was empty and I would have loved to go back there and have my own row. 1. Is it okay to get up if the bus is moving and 2. Is it okay to take the empty seats at the back?

We'll be taking three more buses and I don't want to…

schengen visas for balkan countries

Hi! I posted this inquiry in the general Eastern Europe forum but have not gotten any response. So I thought I would repost here in the hope of better luck.

I am hoping to plan for a trip around the southern Balkan countries next year and would like some feedback about the visa situation.

I will start the trip in Greece and, as a Philippine national, I would of course need to have a Schengen visa. Hopefully it won't be a problem as I travelled extensively in Schengen countries twice in the…

Airport transfer to hotel by taxi or bus? Overcharging tourists?

After contacting my hotel and finding that that they will charge us 15 euros/each to take their shuttle, I want to find a better way. I've read that tourists are often overcharged if they take a taxi from the airport. Is there a certain taxi company that doesn't do this? And do all of the taxis have meters? Is it possible to agree upon a price before we get in the taxi?

Our hotel is only a few blocks from the central bus station and looks to be walkable. We're staying at Hotel Adria. Would…

Space for roller bag on trains? Buses?

We will be doing a lot of public transportation in Bulgaria and I was wondering what the luggage storage situation is - is there a space to put larger roller bags on the trains? What about the buses?

We've taken the train in the Netherlands and Belgium and were surprised at how little space there was and how they oversold the trains so we didn't have a seat. Is this common practice in Bulgaria?

We will probably spend some of our time in Sofia, Plovdiv, Veliko Turnovo, Bansko and visit some…

Sofia to Bucharest Travel

Will be travelling from Sofia to Bucharest in November and would prefer to do this during the day. As far as I can make out my only option, other than flying which I'd rather not do, is to take the 07:55 train which gets into Bucharest at 17:15. Anyone any idea what this long journey is like - presume the train is very basic, border stops ok?, usually running late? etc

Is there any option to travel by bus during the day? Can only see a bus that leaves at 00:30 each morning for an overnight…
