I will be flying into Bucharest at the end of May and want to travel down to the Bulgarian Black Sea coast for a week. I'm not looking for big resorts, but ideally a smaller town (don't mind if it's touristy) with a beach, some bars and restuarants, maybe a fishing town of some kind. I just want to chill out for a week, catch some sun and maybe do some day trips from there.
Would somewhere like Nesebar or Pomorie be suitable? Further south to** Sozopol**? I need to factor in…
We are due to begin our vacation in Sofia in three weeks and I need a decent map that i can print out of Sofia. If anyone has a suggestion of where I can find that, please let me know. I tried the Google map, but it does not print out well.
I am also looking for suggestions for car hire from Sofia we plan to go to Ruse on the Rumanian border.
Thanks for any info in advance.
Is there a good And cheap way to travel from Sofia Bulgaria to skopje Macedonia and back to Sofia Bulgaria?
bus companies? how many buses every day? timetable?price?
i have A day and a half for skopje +matka canyon(Without a round-trip journey from Sofia).
We're off to Bulgaria in July and would like to include 5 days + chilling on the Black Sea Coast, avoiding the big resorts/jet skis, etc. Considering Tsarevo, but it's hard to find out if the beach there is good (nothing is said about it in the LP guide). Sinemorets looks good, but apparently there is only one bus per day from Burgas. Does anyone know what time it leaves? And when the bus leaves Sinemorets going to Burgas? Will help us to see if this is a possibility! Any up to date information…
Got great airfare to Sofia in early June, leaving ( also from Sofia) about 3 weeks later. Now need to plan trip to Bulgaria and some surrounds Primarily interested in culture, food, music and archeology--festivals and events a definite plus.
I am a fit senior woman. Appreciate travel advice about traveling independently using public transportation ( I am not comfortable driving in foreign country) and/or recommendations of reasonably priced tours.
We are arriving in Sofia this Saturday and will be travelling in Bulgaria for 2 weeks. I'm very interested in architecture and food. Not so big on spending time on a beach but happy to soak in the ambiance of seaside towns and visit markets. Any help or suggestions on an itinerary would be much appreciated. We read somewhere that hiring a car is essential...is this true? or can we get to most places by public transport?
I'm very excited about discovering this for the moment undiscovered…
I'm heading out to Romania and Bulgaria (mainly the Black Sea coast, always wanted to see it) for about 10 days in early June.
I'm not looking for a big party scene, just nice towns and fishing villages, laid back, nice beaches. I was thinking about:
Train from Bucharest to Constanta
Constanta to Balchik
Balchik to Vanra
Varna to Nessebar
Nessebar to Burgas
Burgas to Sozopol
Sozopol to Sofia (via Burgas I guess)
Can anyone advise if this is all possible and whether regular buses would…
