Getting there & around
Visconde de Mauá has no bus station. The two main bus stops are at the shops in Maringá and up at the Praça da Maromba in Maromba.
Four buses from Monday to Saturday and three on Sunday travel between Visconde de Mauá and Resende, just east of Itatiaia, (R$4.65, two hours). Transfer in Resende for buses to/from Rio. Cidade de Aço also runs one direct bus daily between Rio and Mauá (R$28, 4½hrs).
