Getting there & away
The bus station (Praça da Amizade 10), located just off the main coastal highway and a short walk from the colonial center, has service to São Paulo (R$37, four hours, 12 daily) and Boiçucanga (R$10, one hour, six daily). The quickest route by car to São Paulo (200km) is to head north from Caraguátatuba on Hwy SP-099.
