Getting there & around
Guarujá is on a large island separated from the mainland by the Canal de Bertioga. The bus station (3386 2325) is at the edge of town on Via Santos Dumont. From there, cross the street and catch local bus 1, 15 or 41 (R$2.10) to the beach. Buses leave every half hour for São Paulo, cost R$16, and take between 75 minutes and two hours, depending on traffic.
