Getting there & away
The Arraial do Cabo bus station (2622 1488; Praça da Bandeira) is situated in the town center. Direct buses run by the 1001 bus company leave for Rio every two hours between 6:40am and 6:40pm (R$19, three hours).
An alternative is to catch a municipal bus to Cabo Frio (R$2.70), then transfer to one of the half-hourly Rio-bound buses leaving from the Cabo Frio bus station.
