Lonely Planet review for Nove Ilhas Tour
From the nearby village of Pontal da Barra, schooners leave at around 09:00 and 13:00 on the Nove Ilhas (Nine Islands) tour. The trip lasts four hours and, in addition to cruising the Lagoa Mundaú, you'll stop at the outlet of the lake into the ocean. Departures are from Pontal da Barra's lakefront restaurants, such as O Peixarão or Alípio. A five-person minimum is required, so call ahead.

Can be relaxing but don’t expect much from the boat ride
debora_sc recommends this,
This can be a very entertaining tour once you want to relax in a small island with a beautiful landscape called Ilha Carlito. This is a very small island with a blue swimming pool and a restaurant.
The boat ride itself is not very interesting, takes around 10 minutes after the tour starts, leaving from a restaurant called Ilha dos Patos. Then you’ll reach Ilha Carlito and stay there for around 2 hours. After that leave and navigate for more 20-30 minutes and see the 9 islands. Only see, it’s not possible to reach any of the islands or swim at the lake.
At Ilha dos Patos Restaurant, it will cost around USD30.00 per person, and the tour will take around 3 hours (including 2 hours at Ilha Carlito). And lunch included before or after the boat trip, depending if you go in the morning (9:30 am) or in the afternoon (12:30h pm).
By this way, if you have a car, drive to this restaurant, located right after the first bridge after you leave the city (a road known as AL-101) to the south (going to Frances´ Beach or Praia do Frances). This will be the cheapest and fairest way to do this tour.
If you don’t have a car, the best way is to arrange with a local tour company, and this will way they can charge you around USD40.00.Good for: Relax
