ATMs on the upper level of the airport accept international cards. Elsewhere, avoid stand-alone ATM booths as these are most at risk of card-cloning fraud.
Banco do Brasil Centro (Praça Waldemar Falcao; 10am-4pm Mon-Fri, ATMs 6am-10pm daily); Meireles (Av Abolição 2311; 10am-4pm Mon-Fri, ATMs 6am-10pm daily) These branches do currency exchange and have ATMs.
HSBC (Av Monsenhor Tabosa 1200, Praia de Iracema) The ATMs here accept international cards.
