Getting there & away

The Cachoeira bus station is located at the base of the bridge in Praça Manoel Vitorino. Numerous daily buses depart Salvador for Cachoeira (R$12, two hours, from 5:30am to 7pm). Hourly buses can be caught in either town from 4:30am to 6:30pm. You can also continue on to Feira de Santana (R$5, 1½ hours, 12 daily) to make further connections. For Valença, take one of the two daily buses going from São Félix to Santo Antônio (R$7) and connect from there.
