Land
Bus
Eucatur (3623 1318) has five daily buses to Manaus (R$91 to R$107, 12 hours) including one semi-leito at 8:30pm; and four daily to Pacaraima on the Venezuelan border (R$12, three to four hours). You can also take a collective taxi to Pacaraima, charging R$20 but making the trip in under three hours. A single Venezuela-bound bus passes Boa Vista once a day at 7:30am continuing to Santa Elena Uairén (R$20, four to five hours), Puerto Ordaz (R$80, 14 hours) and Puerto La Cruz (R$100, 20 hours).
Amatur (3224 0004) operates daily buses to Bonfim on the Guyana border (R$13, 1½ hours). From there, you cross the border to Lethem, and catch a bus to Georgetown (R$102, 10 hours, four days per week); you can buy the complete ticket (R$115) in Boa Vista.
Air
Frequent promotions mean flying is often only slightly more expensive than the bus.
