Boa Vista hotels and hostels
Aipana Plaza Hotel
The reception area of Boa Vista’s fanciest hotel has leather sofas, modern paintings and sculptures and a hip lobby bar. Rooms are no less classy, with muted decor, slate floors, glass showers and good beds.
Hotel Ideal
Boa Vista’s best budget option, the Ideal’s bright lobby and dining area give way to tidy rooms with high ceilings, TV and air-conditioning. Decor is quite sparse, but the friendly service and convenient location more than make up for it.
Hotel Monte Líbano
The least worst of a string of cheap hotels in this area, the Monte Líbano still has drab rooms, grubby bathrooms and no free breakfast.
Hotel Barrudada
Spotless rooms, a swimming pool, large breakfast and central location make this the best value in town - the bathrooms even have groovy motion-sensors instead of light switches.
Uiramutam Palace
Standard rooms here are awfully plain for the price, but the deluxe units are larger and cheerier, with spiffy bathrooms (think porcelain sinks and glass showers), flat-screen TVs, and a 20% cash discount to boot.
Hotel Euzébio’S
Standard rooms are clean but small; superiors are bigger, more cheerful and come with hot water, minibar and phone. All rooms have air-con and TV. The swimming pool is a treat, and frequent discounts make this place good value.
