Albergue Pousada da Floresta
Address
Lonely Planet review
This super-laid-back backpacker favorite has spacious hammock area, and several cozy wood cabins, all with fan, private bathroom, reasonably comfortable beds, small patio with hammock, and artsy details like stools painted with Asian or floral patterns. Guests can rent bikes and kayaks (per day R$10 to R$15), and use a small outdoor kitchen. The friendly young proprietor offers guided tours to lesser-known spots. The hostel is nestled in the trees a short walk from the center; follow the signs past Pousada Alter-do-Cháo, and turn left on the fifth side road.
