For the benefit of everyone dropping by the Brazil branch for the first time, please read this FAQ first. And I hope there can be some sort of way to moderate the thread to keep it updated and clean. I know there are some AWESOME regular contributors here who enjoy giving advice; I feel this thread can really help to condense the information available.
I'll go first, with some general thoughts from the South America FAQ. Many thank to Apollo for starting that thread and for a great idea…

- Go to the Argentine side of the park on Saturday, return to the Brazilian side in the evening
- Visit the Brazilian side of the park on Sunday and leave either on Sunday night or Monday morning
I have several questions:
- What is the most convenient hotel/guesthouse/airbnb for that kind of plan? I'd like something close to the park and convenient to commute to the…
I know I have to buy a ticket in advance. I tried to do it online at the official site. When I clicked 'buy here', it said 'your connection is not private' and I could not proceed further. Any advice on how to get round it?

That's why I would like to know If my cash is enough for the taxi ride. Thanks a lot!

Hi travellers; My first experience with backpack. I'm retired and next month will to fly South America, to Sao Paulo then Iguazu. Where can I stay (any Hostelname) near the Waterfall? Is it easy to walk to Waterfall or must I go by bus? Is it significant to stay in Sao Paulo? Thanks..

I'm from Sweden and in a couple of weeks I will fly to Rio de Janeiro with some friends and stay for a month. After that I have quite diffuse plans. My friends will go back to Sweden but I'd like to go on a cheap backpacking vacation pretty much anywhere and experience some strange places.
Any suggestions of where I could go? Looking for some decently safe, cheap and odd place.
First my plan was to go to Nepal, but since I'll be in South America I'm sure there are some interesting there as well.
