For the benefit of everyone dropping by the Brazil branch for the first time, please read this FAQ first. And I hope there can be some sort of way to moderate the thread to keep it updated and clean. Thanks advance for any ideas

I saw in.Lonley Planet guide there is a festival in Sao-Luis - out of season carnival in the middle of October.
I WILL BE HAPPY TO ANY INFORMATION YOU CAN GIVE ME ABOUT IT!! I want to buy tickets now!
We're considering driving from Ouro Preto to Paraty.
Main issue is that all rental companies don't have offices in
Paraty to drop the car (we won't need it afterward). Second issue, we'd arrive there late on a Saturday, and most rental offices are closing by noon.
Any info regarding a suitable rental company would be welcome, as would be any practical piece of advice (beside keeping the car 'til next Monday :-) ) or personal experience.
