Museu Municipal occupies an old prison, evident by the thick walls and heavy doors. Simple exhibits tell the story of Natividade; among the artifacts is a tree trunk to which slaves were tied for whipping.

Beaches
The best beaches are Praia do Farol (in town) and Praia do Paraíso and the more remote Baía do Sol in the north. Stingrays may be present - shuffle your feet when entering the water to scare them off.
