Built on the only hill in town, the Palacio Araguaia, the state capitol, looks over the plaza and Palmas itself. The lobby is adorned with huge colorful mosaics and in one corner there’s an impressive scale model of Praça Girossóis, which you can then compare to the real thing from windows on the 2nd floor.
