Hurukunê-Wao
This small gallery and cultural center is intended to highlight the art and culture of Rondônia’s indigenous communities. It’s partly successful at that, with a handful of informative displays and folk-art pieces mixed in with predictable tourist kitsch. It’s attached to the local office of Funai, the federal índio affairs agency.

Restaurante Oásis
This longtime favorite in Guajará-Mirim can be counted on for a tasty, well-prepared lunch buffet, including fresh grilled meats. The airy dining area gets some street noise, but is still a pleasant place for a midday break.

Lanchonete e Pizzaria Pit Stop
A popular if somewhat sterile eatery serving decent pizzas. It has a huge wide-screen TV, so you’re sure not to miss a moment of the latest novela or soccer game.
