Famous for its pernil (pork loin) sandwiches served on crusty French bread, this no-frills stand-up joint is justifiably popular with both taxi drivers and the late-night revelers they ferry about.

    After a tour throgh Sao Paulo downtown - Teatro Municipal, Av. Sao Joao, Copan building - try the famous pork loin sandwich of Estadao Bar. It's a very simple and cheap place visited mostly by local workers, but the sandwiches are abundantly stuffed and taste like it's home made. It goes really well with cold beer or natural juice.
