Though the Intercontinental isn't among the world's hippest hotel chains, their São Paulo outpost has comfortably furnished rooms, excellent amenities and just enough luxury to draw both business travelers and leisure-seekers alike.
One of the first things you notice when you step inside the Intercontinental isn't the marble, the brocade or even the snappily-dressed hotel staff. It's the scent of flowers in bloom, a fragrance courtesy of the huge floral displays decorating the lobby. This is a nice touch and a fair indication of the good things to come for recently arrived guests. The rooms - all 20 floors of them - have king-size beds, large windows and spotless off-white carpet. The best views are above the 17th floor.
