    Customer Service???

    Reading the reviews on Lonely Planet, my partner and I were looking forward to eating at The Bakers. We couldn't have been more disappointed.
    As my partner doesn't drink coffee, I asked the woman at the till what teas they had, only to be told she didn't have a clue. Common sense tells me she should've tried to find out, but instead she just stared at me blankly, without further instructions, and in the end my partner ordered a Coke Zero.
    We both ordered chicken pie, only to be given only one slice. When I pointed out we had ordered two, first the other girl who was serving us came back to say they had run out of chicken pie, and the only thing left was heart of palm pie. After agreeing to have it (heart of palm is not my favourite thing in the world), she failed to give me a second set of cuttlery.
    I reminded her I needed another fork and knife, only to be told she had already given them to me. Well, she hadn't.
    Lack of care was evident everywhere, from the large number of idle staff hanging about while customers waited to be served to people asking for information, to the assistants talking over each other, making whoever who's not a regular confused.
    To make things worse, the heart of palm pie was dry. I've never eaten anything made of heart of palm that had the texture of rubber.
    Really sad to come across what is obviously a case of deterioration in service, I won't be going back, nor will I recommend it to anyone who seeks my advice.

    Great Lunch and Breakfast

    Me and my wife, we had a great time in Rio.
    As recommended by LP, we went to this place and were surprised by its quality.
    They have recently remodeled the place and there is a strong air conditioning which makes all the difference in Rio.

    We had lunch, gourmet sandwiches and salads and on a Sunday a delicious breakfast.

    5 Stars !!
