Tour description provided by Viator

What could be better than a sightseeing tour of Rio de Janeiro from the air? From the vantage point of a helicopter, you'll have unforgettable views of this beautiful city, nestled against a backdrop of granite peaks like Sugar Loaf Mountain rising from Guanabara Bay. On this 11-minute helicopter tour with a professional pilot, you’ll take some of the most spectacular photos of Rio imaginable, including Christ the Redeemer on Corcovado Mountain, overlooking Copacabana Beach and the Atlantic Ocean.

Your helicopter tour over Rio de Janeiro begins with pickup from your hotel. You'll be given a safety briefing and all necessary equipment upon arrival at the helipad. Then, hop into the helicopter and let your experienced pilot take you on an unforgettable aerial tour over the ‘marvelous city’ of Rio!

Flight time on your sightseeing heli-tour is 11 minutes – plenty of time to take in Rio’s top landmarks from the air. Hover above Maracanã Stadium, built to open the 1950 World Cup and renovated to seat more than 103,000 spectators for the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Summer Olympics Opening Ceremonies.

Soar over the golden beaches of Ipanema and Copacabana – as well as Sugar Loaf Mountain over Guanabara Bay – and see the residential neighborhood fringing Rodrigo de Freitas Lake. Your pilot will fly around the Christ the Redeemer statue crowning Corcovado Mountain, ensuring great photo ops of Rio’s most famous monument from every angle.

After you disembark from the helicopter, you'll be dropped off at your hotel.
