Tour description provided by Viator
Revel in the excitement of Rio’s Carnival year-round at a nightly Platforma show, complete with samba music and professional dancers. Enjoy prime seating and see dozens of brilliantly costumed performers during an energetic evening that includes live percussion, capoeira and hip-shaking samba moves on stage. If you’d like to include dinner, upgrade your tour and enjoy a barbecue buffet of marinated meats at the Plataforma Restaurant, a Brazilian steakhouse.
Rio de Janeiro signifies Carnival, symbolized by the rhythmic music, vivid costumes and and samba dance — a fusion of Portuguese, indigenous and African cultural influences. At the ever-popular Plataforma Show, you’ll be caught up in the celebration as you watch a light show and a stage full of mesmerizing dancers.
After pickup from your Rio hotel, you’re transferred to the performance venue in Leblon before your night show begins. From your prime seat, you’ll be awed by the 2-hour spectacle as you listen to the songs that express Brazil’s cultural roots alongside drummers who play popular music. Watch a cast of talented performers show off Rio’s famous samba along with typical folkloric dances and the eye-catching spins of capoeira. This unforgettable program culminates in a final Carnaval parade.
The Plataforma Show ends around midnight, when you’ll be transported back to your hotel. Or, extend the party at a nearby nightclub or bar — some located just a few steps away.
