Huge waste of time and money. Cheesey and dumb.
georgiatraveler does not recommend this,
I want to be clear about my ratings: Brazil -- rates a 10, exceeds all expectations. Brazilian music and dance -- also a 10. But Plataforma? A 2 at best, and that's being polite. The stereotypes of African and Native dance were bad enough (although the capoeira was really good), but at the end they do this naff thing where tourists from each country get up on stage and sing A Classic Song From Your Country. We Americans were expected to sing New York New York for some dumb reason. I'm from Georgia, so imagine how that went over with me. But anyway, the good Brazilian parts of the show were outweighed by the tourist-oriented goofy stuff. That's 3 hours and 100 reais i'll never get back....
