I have finished a big self drive safari tour and just finished writing about my time in Botswana. Full of seriously beautiful people and experiences. We just had a few days but this made us want to go back for a much much longer stay.
If you are planning to get through Botswana via the same route hopefully you will find my write up helpful.

Hi Botswana Travelers,
I am planning to explore the Central Kalahari Game Reserve the 23/24 of this month, and was wondering if anyone else has similar plans and would like to caravan. I hear the sands can be a bit dangerous.
We're going to Zambia next year during the Easter holidays. We were thinking of taking the bus from Lusaka to Livingstone, go to see the falls and do a microflight the morning after and in the afternoon cross the border to Kasane. After a night in Kasane we'd have up to 4 or 5 nights that we could spend in Botswana.
What could be a nice itinerary in Chobe and maybe something around Chobe for this duration? Which operators/lodges would be good to contact. We don't want to spend…
Can anyone assist me with up-to-date information on the state of the roads entering Bots from Limpopo Province. We will be riding Harley Davidsons and I am concerned about the size and frequency of pot holes VS trucks.
Is it possible to drive from Gaborone to Windhoek by car in one single day via trans Kalahari highway in January?
If not where would you recommend t stop in a good accomodation
Thx for answer
I am traveling from Gauteng to Botswana with a group of 14 people for a holiday from 14 April 2017 and returning 29 April 2017 back to where I live in Gauteng. My regular travel companion will not be available to make the trip. I am seeking an interesting 35 to 50 year female companion to join us and share travel expenses on an absolutely amazing trip into the African bush. We carry mostly our own food and water and sleep in tents to the sounds of Lions roaring most nights other than the…

Hello! We're a Canadian family of three and we're in Maun, Botswana right now. We'd like to do a self-drive in Namibia and would like to pick up a car in Maun and drive across the border. Most rental companies charge a crazy drop fee making it impractical.
Does anyone have any leads on companies that would not charge a drop fee? Perhaps a company that we could take their car BACK to Namibia for them?
Any leads are appreciated.
I just came back from a week safari with Lelobu Safaris in Botswana and couldn't be happier. I'm not one of their employees or a personal friend, but just a very satisfied traveler who was lucky to choose them.
The safari was perfectly organized. 2 days at Oddsball Camp in the Okavango Delta, 3 days in the Khwai Development Trust and then the last couple of days in the Chobe National Park (Savuti and Riverfront).
We first took s scenic flight from Maun to Oddsball Camp. The setting there is…
