Introducing Eastern Botswana

For the Batswana, this relatively densely populated land may be the most important part of Botswana; for travellers, this is largely an ignored area, a place to be bypassed on the way to Maun, Kasane and the Kalahari.

But the Batswana heartland is worth exploring, home as it is to Botswana’s most important rhino sanctuary, to the ruins and dramatic landscapes of the Tswapong Hills, and to the Tuli Block, one of Botswana’s most underrated wildlife destinations.
