Inat Kuća information
This Sarajevo institution occupies a classic Ottoman-era house that's a veritable museum piece with central stone water-trough, a case of antique guns and fine metal-filigree lanterns. A range of Bosnian specialities are served using pewter crockery at glass-topped display tables containing traditional local jewellery.
Instead of the usual insipid 1980s pop played in many restaurants, the soundtrack here is Bosnian Sevdah. The menu tells the story of the restaurant's odd name, which might be better phrased 'house of strong will'. The riverside terrace offers a fine view of the restored City Hall.
