Bosnia and Herzegovina’s greatest danger is mines and unexploded ordnance. However, if you use common sense and avoid taped areas and remote countryside, you should be fine. Nationalism runs strong in some parts of the country (notably the RS and Croatian areas to the south and west), but this should not affect travellers, who can expect a warm welcome almost everywhere.
