Hi I heard there is no longer a train for this trip. If this is still the case can someone help with info on buses from Sarajevo to Belgrade. Bus times, costs and which bus station for departure. If the bus station is located far from the town centre please also help with info on how to get there. Thanks in advance. Ricky
We will be in BIH for a week or so in early/mid August and, as we are hikers and nature lovers, we would like to explore Sutjeska NP. But it seems to be very difficult to find much information (even a basic map) to plan such a trip. It seems we could go with a guide, but that is not something we normally do when simply hiking (though we have hired guides in safari-like situations). I would be interested in the experiences of anyone who has explored the park... Did you hire a guide? If not…
Where can I find information about nice tracks for one day 4x4 trip from Mostar/Čapljina/Deranjsko jezero area?
I'm not interested in offroad but I like small/nice dirt roads in areas without tourist.
Is booking transport and driver easily available if i want to go to Blagaj from Mostar for a day trip? Any idea how much it will cost? And are the drivers trustworthy and reliable? Any recommendations? Thanks so much.
Cross posted from another reply because people really should know they must be careful and carry Convertibe Marks or Euros when driving through
We went from Dubrovnik to Mostar through the.Neretva Valley. It is very scenic and beautiful. Beware of speed traps. Our GPS said the speed was 80. We saw no posted siignage to the contrary and we were doing 66.
We had no Euros or Marks as we'd just come from Croatia. They made my husband fill out a ton of paperwork and we had to drive 30km back into…
Hello anybody out there!
We are going to rent a car and drive in B&H in June. Scenic routes are preferred. I have understood Mostar - Sarajevo is a must do. Are there other routes to recommend?
What Navigation apps (Android) works well in Bosnia? Currently I am using Waze.
Any good recommendation for local sim card for data? Need good coverage around Mostar and Sarajevo.
One of our option is to rent a car and the phone navigator would be an alternative to renting a satnav.
Our family of 5 will be traveling in Slovenia and Croatia for two weeks this summer. On our way to Ljubljana from the Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia, we hope to drive over to Bihac for a few hours of sightseeing and lunch. We would love any suggestions for an atmospheric restaurant with interesting regional food. Also, any must see attractions in town would be great. Thanks for your suggestions in advance.
I have read that the train trip from Sarajevo to Mostar should be very scenic. A post on this site some months ago however said that the service was closed due to Work on the tracks. Does anyone know if this is still the case? Do you know if and how tickets can be booked in advance.
