Hi folks,

We're visiting Sarajevo and Mostar at the end of October. We'll be flying in and out of Zagreb from London and have exactly 6 days in between. We have a rough plan but would love to hear your input:

Day 1: Arrive in Zagreb noon time. Spending the rest of the day here
Day 2: in Zagreb
Day 3: catch the morning train to Sarajevo, arriving late afternoon, spend the night here
Day 4: in Sarajevo
Day 5: catch the train to Mostar, spend the night here
Day 6: in Zagreb - catch the night bus back…

I have read that you can enter Bosnia for 15 days if you have a multiple entry Schengen Visa IF you are coming from the country that issued the visa.

Since they are surrounded by non - schengen states I presume you would have to fly in or something.

However I am traveling around the Balkans and flying is not only impractical but also unnecessary. I have used my Schengen visa for travel between Bulgaria, Macedonia and Albania so far with no issues.

Would I be able to go into B&H with my…

Day trip to Bosnia from Ljubljana

Hi all
I'll be staying in Ljubljana in a couple of weeks and would like to make a day trip by car to Bosnia. I appreciate it's massively whistle-stop but does anyone have any recommendations for where to head for a few hours (either a particular town or a route to drive along) that's near to the north-western border so as close to Slovenia as possible?
Many thanks in advance
Laura

Hi there,

we're staying in Bosnia. Upon arrival at the border, officials told us that we'd have to register with the authorities if we plan to stay more than 3 days.

Done some research:
> OBLIGATION TO REGISTER TEMPORARY AND PERMANENT RESIDENCE OF AN ALIEN

Upon arrival to Bosnia and Herzegovina aliens are required to register their residence and inform the Service for Foreigners' Affairs - Field Offices or the competent organizational unit of the Ministry of the Interior in accordance to…

Sarajevo - do your laundry there!

This is quite random but I have just had the most positive experience doing laundry so I want to give the place a plug in case other travelers are heading this way and looking to get their clothes clean. The girl running it makes handmade jewelry (metalworking) as well as running the laundry (all on the same premises). She's pretty interesting to talk to as well (British, grew up in Australia, lived in Croatia...) and has lots of interesting information about what it's like trying to get a…

Hey guys, just came back from an amazing time in Bosnia.

There are regular veeery cheap flights from Tuzla with WIZZ AIR (Low cost airline).
The airport is very small, there seems to bee a possibility of a Wizzair organised bus transfer to Sarajevo (but I didn't see any timetable, probably just once a day. I payed 20 BM around 10 EUR for a taxi from Tuzla to the airport. From Tuzla there are several busses a day to Sarajevo (incl. online-ticketbooking, just google).

So the taxi was more…

Hi all,

We arrive at Bosnia (Tuzla) by air so we can't bring gas for our cooking stove. We have a screw on-type stove. Is there any chance we can find screw in type gas cans anywhere in Bosnia? (preferably Tuzla or Sarajevo). Or is it wise to get the edelrid gas adapter, so we can use any kind of gas cans?

Kind regards,

Lynn
