Great shoes!
These shoes are exactly what I was looking for in a hiking boot. The only reason I did not give them 5 starts is because they run a little big size-wise. I wear an 8.5 typically and probably could have gone with an 8. I would highly recommend these boots to anyone looking for a sturdy comfortable hiking shoe.

Rugged Look and Fit
This boot is great looking, rugged, good quality, has room for toes to move and laces up snugly and easily. They are true to size. However, they don't seem to have an anatomical footbed; I don't feel any contours inside which would be tiring on a long hike. I suggest purchasing gel or orthotic inserts for comfort. The lack of cushion at the top of the boot puts undue pressure on the interior ankle bone, making the fit at the ankle really uncomfortable. 2 strikes. I am returning the 6.5 pair I ordered. I don't want to have to also purchase special sox in order to wear and enjoy the boots.
