UA is consistently on the leading edge of athletic wear.
I have all 3 levels of this shirt (Base 1.0, 2.0, 3.0) and I have highly recommended it to my personal friends who consistently exercise. The shirt is designed to fit tight to the skin. The grid pattern on the inside seems to allow air to stay between your skin and the shirt. Your body heat warms the air and keeps you incredibly warm with a shirt that doesn't absorb moisture. IT WORKS! In my opinion, 1.0 is good for running or other outdoor activity around 40-50deg F. Base 3.0 is warmer than a soft-shell jacket with 2.0 somewhere in between. Sizing: I'm 5'10" 180Lbs, 16" arms, 44" chest (just as a reference) and a Medium fits me like a glove. You want it to fit tight but not stretch too much. Pros: Warm, Light, Breathable, Does not absorb moisture. Does not chafe in my experience. Cons: Price (worth it IMO, good price through Altrec)
