Whether you're looking for a lightweight, highly water resistant day hiking boot for the trail or just something rugged and dependable that you can wear around the backyard for general utility work and play, Timberland's White Ledge Waterproof Mid Hiking Boot for women is a step up from ordinary sneakers and boots--with the benefits associated with both types of footwear. Beneath the Women's White Ledge Waterproof Mid Hiking Boot is Timberland's B.S.F.P. active lug outsole. This acronym stands for "Braking, Supporting, Flexing and Propelling." What it all means is that Timberland aligned the sole lugs to optimize support, traction and ergonomic flex, so you enjoy increased comfort and agility compared to most general boot designs. One more important note: If you read Timberland's customer reviews, you might find a few people taking issue with the word waterproof in the White Ledge product name. While the boot's seam-sealed construction is ideal for hiking through dew-kissed meadows or camping in the rain, like the waterproof light hiking boots made by other companies, Timberland's White Ledge not a perfect choice for sloshing around in water deep enough to seep into the tongue gussets. If you prefer wet outdoor weather in moderation, you'll be satisfied with the comfort, traction and stability offered by the White Ledge Waterproof Mid Hiking Boot for women.

Best Boots EVER!
I purchased these boots with intention to use them both for general hiking and for use in the field (I'm an archaeologist), and I have found them to be excellent! They are certainly waterproof (as I discovered after surveying a recently flooded area), fit very well (I normally wear either a size 8 or 8.5) but have a bit of room so that come winter a pair of wool socks wont make them too tight, and boy are they great for hiking! I took them on a test run on a 2.5 mile hike through a very rocky glade, and they passed with flying colors. They are very supportive, especially considering that I have a high arch and narrow feet, and grip well on the soles. On top of all of that, they're very comfortable. They break in quick, too. Here's to hoping they last forever; if not, I'm getting another pair of these! Thanks for being so awesome, Altrec!
Perfect!
My old Timberlands lasted for many years but had to be retired. I needed good hiking boots for an up-coming trip. These were comfortable right away, needed no breaking in. They are true to size and have a good arch support. I have a hard time finding my size and am never sure how things will feel. I am so excited because I know they will last a long time! I'm sure I will love these boots as much as the old pair!
Great spring/summer hiking boot
Great boot. A little stiff at first but broke in very quickly. Not a winter boot so toes get a little cold without heavy socks. Lightweight. Overall a great spring/summer hiking boot.
great in snow and rain
my husband and I both have the timberland whiteledge boots. the boots are warm and water proof. I work on a school bus for a parkville missouri school bus co. The lot is very bad, full of rocks and uneven gravel, it is very dangerous to walk on. The whiteledge is a marvel and can take the nasty lot on and win. There is little breask in and all I had to do was take them to a shoe store fiiend who stretched the "pinki toe" area for and me and the boots are perfect! We have not gone hicking yet, for for now the dangerous school bus lot is dangerous enough.
TOP SHELF!!
Great boots wish I purchased years ago....I have always warn Timberland boots and I will never stop. Keep up the great products and I will keep purchasing.
