Long, lightweight and warm.
I'm 5'10 and this coat hits me just above mid shin, with my rain boots I'm nice and toasty warm. This coat is not bulky, or overly puffy. It's also shaped so it doesn't add any more volume to your silhouette than a traditional wool coat. If you're looking for warm and lightweight, this is a wonderful choice
great fit, very stylish and warm
I coveted this coat and could not find it on the North Face web-site. I am glad that Altrec had it. Many many compliments.
a wonderful coat!
I just love this coat. It is very light and easy to wear--not heavy at all. I have yet to put it to the test in very cold weather, but so far in 30-40 degree temps I have been toasty warm (but not oppressively so). I'm 5'3" and about 105 lbs, and the xs fit me with room for a sweater or a blazer underneath. The sleeves are a great length. The snaps (instead of velcro) mean I don't rip up my knit scarves or sweaters, and the zip that stops at the knee means I don't have to have a shortened stride. The only downside that I have discovered in this coat is the hood, which doesn't feel quite deep enough. A lot of my head/face is left exposed. Oh, also, I'm not a big fan of the Northface logo on the back of the coat as well as the front, but oh well.
The Perfect Coat!
This coat is lightweight but warm, I did not want to take it off! It packs up great when traveling. It is fitted so you don't look large and puffy. I'm 5"3, 120 lbs. it fit perfect with a little extra room for another jacket underneath. I highly recommend this coat!!!
Exactly what I was hoping for
The North Face Triple C jacket is exactly what I was hoping it would be - lightweight, soft, and sufficiently warm for winters in the Midwest. It really is like walking around in a sleeping bag, only much more attractive. Contrary to other reviews, I think this coat works well for petite frames (I'm only 5'2") and isn't too long.
