overall great jacket
The fit seemed true to size. I loved the color vintage white. The length is perfect.Long enough to keep me warm and short enough to move around.

warm and light - a great combination!
Love this jacket and look forward to wearing it a lot next winter. Because it's longer than the typical puffy, it is a little "dressier". Very comfortable and warm. The detachable hood adds a nice touch.

cold weather down jacket
Great jacket , comfy and warm. Lightweight warmth that has an advantage with its longer length, but not too long. Flattering fit that is true to size, unlike some of the North Face styles that are, I think, a little skimpy.

Overall a great light winter jacket for Northern temps
Although I was initially looking for the NorthFace Metropolis Jacket as it is longer, the Transit jacket was long enough (mid-thigh)and very warm considering how light it is. I live in the NYC area and despite the cold temps, this has kept me warm. The snap-on hood is convenient though the drawstrings are a bit tricky to maneuver to tighten around the head. Other than that, it's a great jacket and would recommend it.
