Perfect
Very snug and comfortable - stiff for support but soft inside to keep feet warm - heavy duty which handles heavy and lot of snow very well - slips on easily but still has a zip up for extra support
Better Than I Thought
I had a pair of Sorel zip-up boats that I have had for years and loved, so I was a little worried about getting these. As it turns out, they are taller, which I like, and more comfortable than the Sorels. Light weight and fit well. I did order a size larger. I got them in black and they are a good looking boot that I use to walk to class in the snow.
A tad disappointed
I was very excited to get my new North Face Snow Betty Pull-On Boots for a few reasons. My 6 year old Columbia boots were spent, I needed something easy to get on and off (so the pull-on feature was a huge plus) and they appeared quite stylish for a big bulky water proof snow boot. I loved how they looked right out of the box and the fit, other than needing to be worn in a bit, was very true to size in terms of length and width. They are a bit heavy to walk in but it's what I expect from a well made water proof snow boot. The treads provide wonderful traction and they look good. In the past week of owning them my area has been pelted with multiple feet of snow and I can say they are waterproof BUT SADLY they are not very warm. If you are a city slicker like myself they will be fine to get around the snow in. However, as the mommy of a new puppy who likes to walked on the highest of snow drifts for long periods of time your toes will be quite cold. The ankle portion through to the top of the boot are well insulated and quite comfy but the instep and toe area (the most solid part of the boot) is not insulated at all. I was good in 2' of snow for about 2 hours before needing to come in and warm up.
Had some difficulty
I do have wide feet but these boots were impossible for me to get on, though I ordered them a size larger than my normal size, wanting to leave room for thick socks. I first tried them with thick socks, then thin socks, then bare feet and could not get my foot through the opening with the zipper all the way down.I sent them back and ordered some other boots but haven't received them yet. They are good looking boots and seem to be well made, but I can't offer a real review due to fit problems.
