Many breathable and wicking fleece softshell apparel feel great on calm days, but quickly lose thermal retention in moderate winter breezes. Whether you walk windswept ridges, wander stormy beaches or trek the concrete canyons of the central business district, take along the windproof protection and exquisite warmth of this Women's Sentinel Thermal Jacket from The North Face. It features an external windproof Gore Windstopper soft shell fabric backed with a warm and wicking raschel fleece lining. The jacket cut is an alpine fit, so it tapers a little closer to your core without hindering your mobility with a bunch of fabric bunching. Also keep in mind that while The North Face Women's Sentinel Thermal Jacket scores a wind permeability rating of 0 CFM, it's highly water resistant--but not waterproof. This thermal softshell is an ideal utility piece that works well for a range of windy outdoor activities, including hiking, camping and climbing.

Love Northface
Great jacket, fits well. First time buy on North face and loving it so far. After this purchase, looking to buy one for everyone in the family. Great jacket, wind proof and easy to take care.
amazing jacket
I have this coat in another color and loved it so much I bought one for my daughter. She also loves it so much that my husband and son asked for one. It is light weight, not bulky but still warm. I would not ski in it on or wear it on bad, winter days but it is good for cold days and does block the wind. If you want to wear something under it, I would order up a size. I am 5'6" and about 130 lbs and I wear a size large- if that helps anyone. I do have broad shoulders. My kids have a North Face Denali Jacket but dog hair sticks to it like crazy and we do not have that problem with this jacket. It has had a lot of use and still looks like new
Great purchase for winter
I was looking for a fitted (not bulky), but really warm jacket for the winter and found it in the Sentinel. I normally wear a small (5'5", 117 lbs) but had to buy this in a medium...the small was a little short in front and a little tight around the chest and shoulders (I'm a 34B). The medium is still fitted, but gives me more room to layer a sweater underneath and still be mobile. Overall, the jacket is really soft, both inside and out and does a great job against the wind and cold. I'm very happy with this jacket.
Awesome!
Great jacket, very flattering fit. I am a 34C, and have no trouble with the bust size on a small. I wore it today in an unexpected rain storm and was shocked at how well it performed. (Rain resistant is what the tag says)
Great jacket
This jacket is slim, soft in the inside and excellent for anything outdoors. I love it. I needed something that wasn't bulky. It's breathable and keeps the wind out.
