Cute Bootie
Special shoes and the color is very lovely. The pattern under the shoe is the very beautiful. And it is very warm on my feet. It will be useful in winter.
The perfect indoor slippers!
I have terrible circulation in my extremities, especially my toes. Every winter I struggle with cold feet. It is the norm to have purple-y colored toes even when I'm inside. All that to say that these booties are absolutely fabulous. My feet are never cold when I am wearing them with some nice wool socks, and I love the tiny treads on the bottom so they aren't slippery. Love them!
Women's NSE Tent Bootie IV
I have figured out most if not all of North Face shoes run small! I wear a size 9 or 9 1/2 in shoes I need my orthotics in and these were very small for the size range they gave. I will be giving these to one of my children for Christmas as they will fit them and keep their feet warm. I will also be ordering a pair of these in my size as even if North Face runs small footwear overall it is one of the best brands for keeping people warm. Now that I have the sizing figured out (I Hope) I will keep ordering North Face and Altrec offers some great deals on the North Face brand!
Not very plush or warm
I was disappointed in these booties. I got them because my feet are always freezing. I intended to wear them mainly around the house, but also around camp at the end of the day. I love the warmth and coziness I get from a down coat and a down sleeping bag, and wanted the same thing in a down bootie. These look like they would be very puffy and plush inside, but they are not. There is a lot of extra room around my foot inside the shoe, especially on top. I also think they run small. I wear a size 8, so I ordered the S per their size chart, and my toes are touching the end. I could live with these problems if the booties made up for them with warmth, but they don't even do that. I went camping on December 30 when there was snow on the ground and put these on with fresh smartwool socks, but my feet never got warm. In full disclosure, I did walk around on the snow, so the bottoms got wet, and maybe that was a contributing factor. But there have been several occasions now where I've worn them in my house, both with and without smartwool socks, and they still don't keep my feet warm. I would return them, but a tiny bit of the rubber on one of the traction points on the sole melted when I tried to warm my feet by the fire. The only redeeming quality is that the sole is firmer than I expected. I didn't think these would stand up to much outdoor use, but I think they would. I wouldn't recommend wearing them around town or taking long walks, but they are fine when I take the dog out for potty breaks, and when there's no snow on the ground, these would be fine around camp. As a final note, I ordered the mens TNF down mules for my brother, and his are much cushier, plusher, and warmer. If you're looking for warmth and more of that puffy down feeling, consider those.
