Your quiver of skis might include powder skis, hardpack carving skis, all-mountain mid-wide skis and backcountry twin-tips, but thankfully you only need one jacket for every day of ski season: The North Face Men's Vortex Triclimate Jacket. It's a durable, waterproof and breathable shell jacket with a zip-out insulating liner that you can wear alone on the bluebird powder days. Between all three configurations, you have enough weather protection options to ski, trek or snowboard right into the sun drenched jeans-and-tee days of late spring and summer. The North Face Men's Vortex Triclimate Jacket is loaded with many of the same features found on expensive ski jackets and alpine outerwear, but the price remains affordable and the exterior styling is classic and traditional--not spendy-trendy. Internal features include a goggle pocket, media security pocket (for phone, two-way radio or music player) and an adjustable hem with Pant-a-locks to connect your ski pants to your jacket for optimal spindrift protection. On the outside you'll find core zip-vents for cooling, a wrist accessory pocket with goggle cloth, and a removable hood. If you wear the insulating liner as a jacket, you'll find that it has fewer pockets and features than the outer jacket shell, although the enhanced articulation through the elbows will appeal to any skier who pounds moguls or spends most of their time doing tricks on twin-tips in the terrain park.

condor vs. vortex
Condor triclimate is perfect but vortex is a bit warmer enough for a 20blizzard storm here in NY. My son love it! Its really pricey but it will last him a good 5 yrs at least.instead of buying him every single year.
North Face does it again!
I love this Jacket or should I say jacket(S) seems very well built and comfy can't wait to try it on the slopes tonight. It has lots of pockets and even comes with a sunglass shammy in the pocket on the arm. For being two jackets in one it's less bulky then any others I have tried Hellihanson, columbia etc. The zip out jacket looks perfect for the Sunny spring days of riding/skiing. Only thing I didn't like is NOrth Face says it's waterproof but has no rating? 12,000mm 20,000mm ? I haven't trying with a fullday in wetcoast snow but for a few mins in the rain it beaded well.
Nice jacket
I purchased this jacket for my husband for Christmas, and he absolutely LOVES it. It has a removable liner (which is actually not that attractive if worn alone - in red) and it's very light weight. The shell is a great color (red) and he loves the fact that it is warm enough for skiing in the cold. He is usually a large, but they seem to run larger than an average large. If he were to have gotten a medium, it would have been too short.
Nice winter jacket
i like the look and quality, it feel good i wish that i could zip other fleeces into it the other two fleeces i got the zipper isn't large enough
Sweet
I was interested in this Ski Jacket for the shell. The liner that comes with it is very good. But I wanted to make the shell warmer for my needs. Thats done by using TNF Nuptse Down Jacket that can zip right in. I also have TNF Nuptse Vest that I can use also. I like to use the arm anchor points but zip the liner and shell independently. The TNF Vortex is a versitile item to have on its own, If one owns other TNF items that can zip in the jacket, It is even better, Also the look and fit are perfect.
