solid waterproof boots
I'm a university student and I was looking for a pair of nice-looking and warm waterproof boots for slugging around in rain and snow on my way to class and between classes, etc. I wanted to spend as little as possible but still get something that would last me a while and would be comfortable and warm if possible. I found just that in these boots. I do not normally buy shoes this expensive, and it is the first North Face brand item I have ever purchased, but I have been very impressed by the performance I've gotten out of these shoes. The only iffy thing is the suede-ish sort of top part is not the ideal material for boots like this, but they are normally covered by my pants so it's no big deal. If you want boots that are just waterproof and pretty warm, this is a good bet. They will get you through puddles and snowdrifts dry and intact, and for my money, that is what matters. And they look pretty striking to boot.
For my Husband
I REALLY LIKE THE BOOTS FOR MY HUSBAND THEY ARE VERY COMFORTABLE AND FIT TRUE TO SIZE....THEY KEEP HIS FEET WARM AND DRY. I RECOMMEND THESE BOOTS THEY LOOK EVEN BETTER IN PERSON.....
They run small
These boots run smaller than indicated. I bought the same size as a pair of Timberland's I already own, and I could barely get my foot in the boot. I like the insulation and the look, but can't tell about durability yet.
North Face Men's Snow Beast Boots
I got these boots for my husband in preparation of our trip to snow. They looked great and very sturdy. My husband was anxious to try them out. We were in snow when the temperature was around 0F - 10F. After he stayed out for 10 minutes, he claimed that his toes were freezing. He thought he was sure to get frost bites. The next day, he put two pairs of socks on; special winter boot socks + regular socks, but it only took a few minutes before his toes got numb. These boots were called "SNOW BEAST" boots but clearly not. These can be good for rain during mild winter 30 - 50F but it is not suitable for snow at all. If you were thinking about getting these for snow, I highly recommend NOT to.
