great shoe
all around it is a very comfortable shoe, i used them fishing and the traction on the sole was very good. the shoe ran a little big though and i had to return them for a half size smaller.

not quite as described
I bought these shoes because they were advertised as "water" shoes. In fact, the model name (Sieve) certainly implies that water will be properly evacuated out of the shoe. However, there does not appear to be any mechanism to evacuate water out of this shoe, other than to take the shoe off. yes, there is mesh at the top of the shoe, but that doesn't help with the water accumulating at the bottom. I have other water shoes, which have clever little holes or other ports to help get the water out. Nothing like that with the North Face. I contacted The North Face about this, and they were totally clueless about how this shoe was supposed to perform as a water shoe. The gentleman at The North Face suggested that if I just run around with the shoe on, it will force the water out. The shoe otherwise feels sturdy and supportive, but I haven't put it to any use yet.
