Love It
This is my all time favorite jacket. Warm and yet not super bulky.

Fantastic Jacket
Wow- what a great jacket! It is so light you can't believe it will be very warm, but it is. Put a fleece layer underneath and you are ready for all sorts of cold weather. It looks and feels great. I am very impressed with this jacket and recommend it highly.

The perfect backpacking jacket?
I bought two of these jackets from Altrec...one for backpacking/kayaking and one for urban/mall wear. I used it for a Wind River/Wyoming early summer trec.and an early season, week long Voyageurs NP kayak trip in wet/windy weather. Stuffs very compact into it's own pocket...extremely light weight...is water proof (tested in downpours)...fits big enough to layer under if the layer is not too bulky since it is overall somewhat of an athletic fit. I usually wear a large and ended up with 2 mediums since the cuffs allowed the sleeves to slip onto my hands too far. I love the tighter fit the mediums allow but maybe most would like the "average/normal" fit which you get by ordering your actual true size. I tried many many jackets and with the weight/fit/compact stuff size not to mention being extremely attractive (tons of compliments) I had to order another one...it was that great!!

warm, light, durable
I've worn this as my daily jacket in the Pacific Northwest either as a stand-a-lone jacket about town, or mid layer for skiing and windier/wetter days. The hood is key, as it keeps you significantly warmer than if you didn't have it. Dries quickly if it gets wet, and fits me perfectly in a large, despite being tall (6 foot 1) and skinny.
