Best jacket I ever obtained
I always wanted this jacket but never had the money to buy it. It is so comfortable and light, and it does a good job on the wind. I just got it yesterday and tried it on today which was a windy day, and the wind proof was so nice compared to all my other jackets. I will always keep one of these jackets in my closet.

Great Jacket
This is my first North Face jacket and couldn't be happier. I also have a Arc'teryx Theta Ar jacket and the mountain light does a better job for half the frice. Ive read alot of reviews knocking the mtn. light for the zipper...i mean yeah there is fabric covering it but it doesn't make it impossible to zip...the arcteryx gortex zippers are twice as hard to zip and doesn't look as good. Also the goretex on the mountain light jacket is very comfortable even wearing a t-shirt. Unlike the Theta ar which the fabric is so stiff and really just not comfortable on skin. The breathability is above average and pit zips make it even better. This jacket is the all purpose, take it on the appalachian trail or to just take the dog for a walk on a cool day! Looks kind of blah on the website but very nice fit, im 6' 170 and a medium fits great, like it was made for me!

Best jacket I've ever seen!
I have three of these. The first was a gift that cost about $500. I ski in this jacket with two layers of vapor wicking polyester shirts underneath and the combination is perfect - not sweaty not cold. In a full-on downpour of rain: warm and dry. Lightweight, compresses to small package. The original jacket still in good shape. (I bought the other two when North Face stopped making them a few years ago and I couldn't face the future without one.) Best jacket I've ever seen.

Northface Mens Mountain light jacket fantastic in all respects
This jacket is the answer to what I was looking for. Light, comfortable, wind and water proof. When the temp is above zero and I am moving about and I have a fleece vest on it is warm enough for me. I also bought a denali fleece jacket that zips into this jacket and really won't need it until it is below zero here in Minnesota. Too warm. So I need to buy a light fleece for most of the winter months. So now I can throw away most of what is in my closet as this one outer shell, vests and fleece liners provide all that I need all year long.

awesome.
This jacket is unbelievable. It is extremely thin and lightweight yet does an excellent job keeping you dry and warm from the elements. This will be my first winter in Chicago and armed with my denali and this jacket, I'm sure I will get by just fine. If you're looking for a versatile/lightweight jacket that can be used in cool and extreme conditions, look no further. The North Face Denali fleece is the perfect complement to this jacket and will keep you warm in freezing temperatures.
