Solid Pants
I have 4 pairs of these pants -- two grays, a khaki and a green They are great for warmer weather hiking and traveling. Some aspects I really like: - very comfortable - enough pockets but not garish like some cargo pants - easy to hand wash while traveling - dry quickly - can pack in a small space The small are the slightest bit large in the waist (I wear 30 in most pants), but a belt fixes that. I wish they made these in black and perhaps a heavier nylon for cooler weather.
Great pair of pants!
I had been looking for a lightweight comfortable pair of hiking pants at an affordable price, and these fit the bill. They arrived promptly, and I am enjoying them when I go hiking.
Real great for travel or play
Great fabric & movement in these pants. Looking forward to wearing them over to Italy next week on plane & as I travel. Will be buying another pair. Excellent value for me.
Great Travel Pants
I love the style and quality of these North Face travel pants. They look great, fit perfectly (I'm about 6ft) and are very well made. The color is very nice too. The fabric is so light that you can remain cool even in the hottest weather. And the elastic waist is super-convenient, no need for a cumbersome belt. Although I wish they had a regular button instead of a snap button.
These pants are very comfortable and fit pretty true to size. I'm 6' 1" 190lbs. and I usually wear 33, so the size M was perfect for me. Great for camping, hiking, backpacking, or just generally going around the city. The partial elastic waistband is a nice feature and I like that the belt is NOT built into the pants (like it is on other models/brands of pants). I find the built-in belt to be restricting and unnecessary. They are very light, and I honestly was a little concerned that the fabric would not stand up to abrasions but I was wrong. I purchased the dark grey color, which I found to be pretty close to the how it is displayed in the picture. I wish the cargo and back pockets were a little bigger and used velcro (for quicker access) but it is not that big of a deal. I like the zippered side pocket - great for stashing keys, wallet, or anything else you want to be sure does not fall out of your pants. I also have the TNF Paramount Peak Convertible pants. By comparison, I like these Horizon Peak pants much better. The Paramounts are noticeably heavier and bulkier. I also have never found the convertible feature to be very useful -if I wanted shorts for a summer trip, I'd rather just throw a pair of board shorts into my pack. That way I could swim in them too. You can definitely spend a lot more on backpacking/hiking pants, so especially at this price point these pants have all that I want/need. Overall great pants!
