Legedary Purchase
The Free Thinker jacket from TNF is incredible! This jacket is made with top of the line quality. It is extremely comfortable and allows for a great range of motion (perfect for snowboarding/ activity). If I ever happened to be wandering around inside of a hurricane, I honestly think that I would have no problem staying dry with this jacket on.

Bought this jacket, and never looked back
This is by far the best TNF shell I have owned, and it's definitely not my first. Say what you will about TNF, but for the money you get alot of features. I returned an Arc'teryx Theta jacket for this one, as the Theta lacked any kind of pockets or ski features. I know that's not what it's for, but the Free Thinker was an immediate improvement for me. The only complaint is that the "goggle" pocket is not nearly large enough for my oakley's, that was something only the Spyder jackets had down to a science. All in all, this is a great shell for skiing, and the Gore-Tex Pro is the highest end out there right now. It also just looks great, very understated yet sharp... I got the Iceland Blue. I am 6'3" and the large fit me perfectly, even with an Apex layered underneath.

hign end coat
This jacket is very comfortable. The breathable goretex material is the same that is used in the Army. Has pockets all over and can fit in half the size of a shoebox when folded. Highly recommended if you have the money.

If you have the money, it's worth it.
Great Jacket! Light weight and versatile. You can wear this jacket alone and it breaks the wind or with layers and it is perfect for skiing, hiking and a variety of other outdoor activities. As far as sizing goes, I am about 5'8" and about 160lbs and I wear a size small.

Great Jacket
I own both this version and the 06/07 version. The similarities are pretty obvious between the two. That being said, there are some good improvements on this version. The zipper on the left arm on the previous version does not zip up at the very top allowing water to get in. This is not a huge deal but it is a flaw in my opinion. To fix this, TNF put a piece of the coat material over this part of the zipper(noticeable in this picture in zoom mode). Now the zipper is able to tuck in, allowing water to drip off rather than seep in. They made a similar improvement on the chest pocket. The pro shell version isn't much more waterproof in my opinion than the xcr, or at all. It really isn't suppose to be though. The pro shell is suppose be slicker on the inside of the jacket (it is), which makes the cloths you layer with slide easier against the jacket for better movement. The green version of the jacket is in my opinion the best. It has a sheen to it in person resembling a emerald almost. It does not look too flashy though. Overall, this jacket is by far worth its weight in gold. It has great looks, along with many cool features. It has many useful inner coat pockets, such as a cell phone holder and goggle holder. The previous version did not. If you can afford this jacket, buy it, you won't regret it.
