Harsh winter conditions are no match for the Inuits of Alaska, or the footwear they inspired like the Sorel Women's Suka II Boots. Drawing on the proven designs of the Inuits traditionally crafted winter boots, the Suka II offers the same great comfort and protection as last season, but adds a fun plaid print and toggle-closure system for easy on-and-offs. A waterproof leather upper and fleece lining provide great warmth in a variety of climates, while a comfortable PU footbed can be removed for quick-drying convenience. As for the rugged outsole, it takes its cue from the go-anywhere traction of snowmobile tread.

Overall great boots!
These boots came out of the box even better than I hoped! I love the plaid detail and they are beautifully made. I live in New England and couldn't believe how warm they kept my feet, and no break-in time. Love them!
warm, cute boots
I live in MN and wanted warm boots for the long, snowy winter. I wear these when running errands around town or when going to the gym and they are warm and comfy. Right after I bought them I went for a 1.5 hour walk through the snowy woods in 8 degree temperatures and my feet were comfortable and warm. They are not super supportive for walking (I have high arches), but the warmth was awesome. They are also lightweight and have good traction. I bought them a 1/2 size big (9), but you wouldn't have to. My usual size (8.5) would have fit as well, but I like the extra room around the toes -- I think it keeps the feet warmer. They feel like they have room and are slightly big, but they don't slip at all so it works. You can also pull them on, so no lacing or buckling needed. They are mostly waterproof for snowy or sloppy conditions, but I wouldn't tromp through water. The inner foot padding can get damp, but you can pull them out to let them dry. They are also super cute!
Gorgeous!
Warmth: I am spending a year in central New York so needed some winter boots. The snow hasn't arrived yet, but I'm wearing the boots as I write this and can say that they are extremely snug and warm. Girth: I was worried about the fit around the shin. My legs are very skinny so I thought I might rattle around in the boots, but the elasticated toggles are (comfortably) tight and the boots fit really well. Incidentally, the boot rises around 12 inches from the ground. Fit: I had previously tried on Sorel boots in a store in size 6 (too small) and 7 (too big) and so ordered 6.5 and, sure enough, they are a perfect fit. I normally take european size 37-38 (british size 4.5-5). There is room inside for a pair of thick socks, if needed. Protection from snow: I will spray the suede with suede guard, just in case. The overlapping style of the boots is well designed. There is significant overlap, and the fur is thick, so there is a good seal around the toggles. If it gets slushy, I think I'll stay dry. Accuracy of photography: I would say that the mud/teal boots are marginally paler (the suede) than the image implies. The fabric pattern is accurate. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase and, as another reviewer said, roll on snow days!
Beautious Boots
OK, I haven't had the chance to wear them in the snow yet, but they look awesome and fit like a dream. I sized up 1/2 a size just to account for heavier socks. Let it snow, baby!
