Smartwool delivers again
I've tried a number of different brands of hiking and trekking socks and continue to find Smartwool to be the best at regulating temperature (both hot and cold) and keeping my feet comfortable. I was doubtful whether these particular socks would work well for light hiking on hot humid days, but they kept my feet quite cool every time I've used them. They're also fairly lightweight yet managed to protect my feet from blisters or getting banged up. The color choices aren't my favorite, though I did end up buying several pairs. As usual with this brand, you pay a lot but I thought they were worth it.

My favorite socks
I am impressed with all smartwool products. These socks are good-looking with shorts or capris, and are exceptionally comfortable. I even wear them with sandals, and they look okay. I enjoy the micro length, as crew length are often too tall on my legs and dig into the skin at the top. The socks are comfortable in very warm temperatures, but in my opinion would also be fine for spring and fall. The price is a bit high, but they feel so much better than any other socks I've tried...so if you can afford it, go for it!
