Great socks
I wear these wonderful thick cushioned socks in the winter and summer. Smart Wool socks are the best, I don't need liners with them. I use them for backpacking, hiking, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing. They are very versatile.

Very comfortable
As my doctor says, I have no fat on my feet. Very thick socks help prevent soreness after a long hike. These socks are very thick and fitted to my foot. Because like all heavy socks that compact on the bottom after a long hike, I turn them inside out when washing them to help "revive" the nap and softness. It works with these socks. The seems are flat and do not cause discomfort. I would buy them again.

Comfortable, durable, breathable socks!
These socks are both durable and breathable. I wore them five days and they didn't smell. They dry quickly and are warm, but not too warm so that my feet sweat.

These are the absolute best socks we have found! My husband and I both love them. They are extremely well cushioned, and the wool does not irritate our allergies. No issues with throwing them in the washer and dryer. I plan to buy more pairs for our kids and grandkids. I love these socks! They are extremely comfortable and warm. Well worth the cost. I have been purchasing Smart Wool socks for years and they have never failed me. These are another great addition to keep my feet warm and dry during winter activities!

Whole lotta cushion
Bought these socks for cold and wet weather hiking to use with polypro liners and lightweight GTX mid boots. Excellent cushioning and insulation. Very, very thick and comfy. Keep this in mind. You might need an extra 1/2 size in your boots to accommodate the extra volume.
