Warm and they go outside!
These are a little bulky but totally durable and ready to wear inside and OUT (a big plus for those of us that have bought the other down booties with the bottoms that wear out by the end of the season!). They could be a little cozier if there was more down stuffing around the toe area, but, make no mistake my feet are positively toasty! (I do live in Ca. where there aren't real seasons but these warm me up quickly when it is cold). I wear a size 10 and a large is plenty big enough with room for socks. Overall, the tough bottoms and weatherproof quality make these toasty down booties well worth the price (not to mention the wonderful Altrec guarantee if you aren't satisfied).

I love the fact that they are big enough to wear thick socks, but are manageable to get on and off. I especially like the thick sole.

Just what I as looking for...
These booties are light weight, easy to pack for a camping/yurt trip, and comfortable with a durable sole. The sole for me was the key, I wanted to be able to wear these around camp or inside a yurt without wearing out the bottom. The booties are not as thick (down filled) as I would have thought, but there is plenty of room to wear a thick pair of socks with them. The lack of thickness will allow me to wear them during summer and winter camping trips. I normally wear an 8 to an 8.5 in women's and the Medium fits PERFECTLY. If you are in between sizes on the chart provided, go for the smaller size.

Pretty good footware
Not as warm around the foot area as I had hoped, and rather wide, but still very good. I like having a real sole so that I can go outdoors for short jaunts to mailbox, dog pen, etc. I normally take a size 10 shoe, so I bought the extra large. It's plenty big enough for a heavy sock. The large might also have fit.
