2 nd pair and I will never wear anything else
This is my second pair of XT Wings. Although I am not wearing them for trail running, I do use for light hiking, walking and working on my feet for 10-12 hours a day. They are super supportive without being too stiff. I will never wear another shoe.

great utility shoe!
This is my first pair of Salomon trail runners and the quality is great! I had previously worn North Face/Newbalance. I have somewhat narrow feet with high arches - and found I had to swap-out the factory inserts. Otherwise, very true to size. The traction and stability on steep grades is the best I've come across to date. Pretty minimal break-in period - a week or so. I wear them for hiking and walking, everyday errands and running around... great SUV of a shoe!

Great shoe
The XT Wings are my first Salomon trail running shoe and they are fantastic. Amazing arch support, great stability, and the quick lace system allows for easy adjustment on long runs. A bit clunkier than many other trail runners I've had in the past, but it's well worth it. The bulkiness is out of necessity and after 1 or 2 runs they have formed perfectly to my feet - I have yet to feel unstable or unsure of my footing.

This will be my 4th pair of Salomon Trail Runners. The Wings are very supportive as I have a very high arch. I love the shoe. I use it for working out, hiking, walking and basically for comfort. It is an all purpose shoe.
