Excellent Shoes
These have been the best athletic shoes I have ever owned. I am on my 3rd pair over the last 2 years. I still use the other 2 pairs for every day use. I have never had any problems with my feet wearing these.

Best shoe I have found EVER
I've wanted Salomon for a while and I finally tried them and am more than please. Fit is perfect and true to size. Extremely durable and comfortable for off road running dry, wet or muddy. Haven't tried snow yet. Love the lacing system. I'll be getting Salomon's from now on.

Can't beat Solomans
Once again a terrific shoe from Solomon. I've had the more expensive XA3D Pro Ultra (or something like that) before, and they are really nice as well. However the advantage I've found with the XT Wings is more heel cushion and an overall softer feel on the trail, which I like. Otherwise, just another great Solomon running shoe.

Great Adventure Racing Shoes
I am an avid adventure racer, with experience in sprint to expedition races and thus far, the Salomon XT Wings have been my preferred choice of shoes. I have used other shoes such as the Salomon XA Pro, which I find to have very little cushioning, that can be good for short races, but it will really hurt your foot soles on long runs. In the other hand, the XT Wings cushioning is good, but not overly soft such as some running shoes. The overall feel is of a stable, breathable shoe. The fit is also nice. Honestly, I have never had any type of blisters or sore marks from the XT Wings, provided that I keep my feet well greased and always wear good, synthetic socks. Salomons lacing system is definitely the best one out there, but not with some problems. Although the lacings systems functionality is perfect, its durability is quite iffy. I mean, the teflon covered laces rip very easily and any other simple shoe lace replacement might not necessarily work do to the small space available for the laces as well as its specific lacing design pattern, making you have to buy Salomons own replacement laces. I need to make something clear though: although I found the laces durability to be not ideal for activities such as HARDCORE adventure racing (where rock garden, river, deep forest and deep bushes crossing are a constant), for your normal trail running activity, these shoes laces should last a very long time. Finally, they are great looking shoes, specially the all red ones, which unfortunately are no longer available (hope they comeback soon)!

Very good all around shoe
I like this shoe very much, it fits true for my size 10 feet. It is a little more slippery running the trails than the SpeedCross 2. I love the lacing system. Very happy with this shoe.
